It was a matter of time until we got our hands on it. While we stock two styles of women's Timberland PRO boots, the Powertrain Sport is an all-star athletic shoe we just had to feature. Lightweight yet efficient design and comfort were critical to creating the Powertrain, and it shows with each step. Timberland PRO's athletic styling gives the women's Powertrain Sport work shoes a sleek, lowp profile look. Aiming for comfort, the Powertrain Sport sports alloy safety toe caps, which meet the same impact and compression standards as a steel toe cap, but the relevance here is that we are dropping ounces of weight. That means more manueverability. For standing long hours at the job site, Timberland PRO integrated a breathable mesh lining behind the ripstop nylon upper, which promotes foot health and works to limit sweating. The brand found underfoot comfort is critical to that end as well, and added its trademarked anti-fatigue technology insole. It is removable, replaceable, and has a unique honeycomb pattern that molds the insole to pressure points with each and every step. Beyond the usual electrical hazard protection all of our work shoes offer, the Powertrain Sport's soles are oil, slip, and abrasion resistant, and even heat resistant up to a tested 248 degrees Fahrenheit. What makes all this possible? The sole is composed of a unique dual density polyurethane that contributes to the Powertrain Sport's unmatchable level of comfort and preformance.
