The underfoot technology in the Hightower is just as compelling. In the shoe, Timberland PRO adds the Anti-Fatigue Technology insole that absorbs shock to keep you comfortable. The make-up of this insole is many inverted cones that collapse and move together to provide returning energy in high pressure areas like the heel and balls of the foot. A fiberglass shank provides reinforcement and structure for your arch, and last but not least, a thermoplastic urethane (TPU) sole completes the picture. This TPU sole is heat resistant, oil resistant, and slip resistant with a non-marking sole. This sole works best with heats up to 248 degrees Fahrenheit._x000D_
