Timberland PRO took its beloved Helix work boot and popped it up on steroids. The main difference in the Helix HD line is two-fold: a stitched-on toe cap is abrasion resistant, and the rubber sole offers the best traction available as well as abrasion resistance. The Helix HD leading style, model A1HQL, is a six inch work boot sporting waterproof leather and a composite safety toe. It is the number one style in the line.

Timberland PRO constructed the Helix HD's upper with distressed full-grain waterproof leather and added a waterproof membrane. When we say distressed, know that it refers to the feel and wear of the leather, which allows the leather to stay supple longer. It's a comfortable shoe in which the leather will mold to the wearer's feet. The mesh lining behind the leather provides odor control with its inherent antimicrobial treatment. Metal hardware keep laces in place for the same snug wrap around the foot and ankle all the live long day.

The Helix HD also sports Timberland PRO's trademark dual density Dynamic Anti-Fatigue Technology footbed. This insole is made of polyurethane and sculpted into a honeycomb pattern. This pattern with this material allows the footbed to flex based on pressure while also providing rebound with each heel strike. A midsole of the same material continues adapting to your movement and added pressure. Lastly, hitting the pavement is Timberland PRO's rubber outsole. With plenty of channels comes plenty of traction, and this sole has something the brand calls Ladder-Lock Outsole Radius, which refers to the pattern. The rubber sole is non-marking, and resistant to slips, oil, heat, and abrasions.
