With the full grain, waterproof leather, the #3552 King Toe ADC has 400-gram 3M Thinsulate insulation to ward off the winter elements and just plain cold temperatures. The safety toe cap is Red Wing's non-metallic toe, developed to be lighter and just as durable as aluminum and steel toe caps. A non-metallic safety toe is a composite of nylon, fiberglass, and plastics, which can withstand the same impact and compression requirements as other safety toe caps. A pair of boots can lose anywhere from four to twelve ounces depending on the size of the boot required to fit your feet. In addition, the #3552 has a memory foam collar and tongue, and abrasion resistant rubber at the heel and toe.

Underfoot, the #3552 sports the dreamlike Quadrex footbed. Developed in 2016, this insole has a memory foam top, gel pad heel, and significant arch support. In all honesty, when customers pop in to replace insoles in their traditional King Toe models, we give them the Quadrex footbed. Red Wing added a TruArch support to the polyurethane midsole. The rubber hits the ground with the best in class for oil, slip, heat, chemical, and abrasion resistance. The #3552 King Toe ADC's rubber varilug sole is Red Wing's innovative lug pattern first developed for the King Toe ADC family of boots. Important to note, the #3552 is a puncture resistant boot, which means it meets Canadian Standards Association protection requirements.
