The Canyons style #2857, by Irish Setter, is the first real hiking shoe we have seen from the brand. Strikingly similar to Vasque's Sundowner, the Canyons defines its own path through lightweight and ScentBan technology that supports feet for hours on the trail. It starts with a sleek hiker silhouette fashioned with full grain waterproof leather. An additional waterproof barrier is packed in too, thanks to Irish Setter's proprietary UltraDry Waterproof technology.
The Canyons' cement welt construction of the upper to the sole lends that flexibility previously mentioned, and inside, the removable EVA and memory foam footbed provides lasting maximum underfoot comfort by reducing weight. Against the ground, Irish Setter added the Vibram Beehive sole, which sports a tread designed and tested to perform well on slippery and textured surfaces. The sole's pattern allows for maximum surface area and high grip while releasing mud and dirt. The Canyons is an all-around, well-structured hiking boot perfect for Maine trails.
